Biography

Paul Reuther lives and works in Washington, DC. He studied painting and drawing with Oliver Grimley, Louis Sloan, Arthur DaCosta, Seymour Reminick, and Sidney Goodman among others in Philadelphia at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. He studied art history at The University of Pennsylvania. Attending graduate school in Washington, DC he studied with William Woodward and Frank Wright. He paints out of doors regularly, and has spent much time in New England and the Canadian Maritime provinces escaping the miserable mid-atlantic summers in Washington scouting for painting opportunities in these places. Sometimes he finds them.

Since October, 2007, Paul has been hosting an open life drawing group ( Dupont Drawing Group ) in his painting studio located at The Church of the Pilgrims in Dupont Circle Washington, DC. There are approximately 100 members in the group.
